So i have noticed my truck has developed some sort of very small surge at idle when its cold. Doesnt matter if its 24 or 50 that i can tell. When its idling, the needle and engine will randomly surge maybe one tach 'tick' mark, usually less than that. After 5 mins or so, it goes away. Its barely noticable unless you watch the tach. Is this normal or a sign of something heading out sensor wise? 31,000 miles on the odo.
Could be the ICP, the ICP harness, Exhaust backpressure sensor. I had the same problem on my truck. The dealer did 2 recalls, the icp harness and the ebp sensor and it seems to have cured it.
Im going to check the sensor and pigtail. Upon further looking, im not convinced its actually a problem and not normal. I can't say for sure if it never did it before. Its such a slight surge so i dont know.
