This is a good post for people who are considering the Jag IFS. I didn't take many pictures while installing my front end. So when I pull my sheet metal off in a couple of weeks I'll take more detail shots of the front end on how it was installed. My opinion for people who are considering doing a swap is to use a front end from a series three Jag, as these are a better and stronger front end, preferly from a V12 if they can find one. I'll post more pics soon.

48steel; has a pretty well documented install as far as showing the measurement and explaining how to do it from start to finish on a 48-51F1.

sorry i didn't book mark anything (i print most thing out so i have a hard copy) i did general search for the "jag","jaguar" "ifs" and "irs" i will say i have not found a step by step install for my f1/f3 conver. there seem to be alot of pictures of jag (ifs and irs, more then any site i've found SO FAR! and and i like pictures. "if i can see it i can build it and the more i see it the the less i will have to rebuild it"
they do have a set of general laws/guideline that will be helpful (at lest for me)for a safe install.
http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roa...treet_rod.aspx
if you go to the bottom of the page the the a guide line for the jag irs, nothing earth shaking but it leave a fuzzy feeling that it is a law/safty guide line
also take note of the list moderators
i'm not trying to steel the tread with the info on jag irs but jag ifs and irs for some of us seam to go hand and hand
i hope this help

another site, they don't do to much with jag ifs but do have crossmembers for irs, talk with them awhile back, nice people will sell whole kit or pieces.

Great thread. I, like you, was surprised when I read the IFS article, that it only touched on the Jag. option. I have been looking at Rusty's gallery and several others and am considering the Jag. IFS for my '50 F-1. Will probably go with a 9" in the rear but that is just my preference. It would be great to have all the information in one location.

Thanks, Gil

For Rusty,s 50 When you made the rear crossmember differential support does it interfere with the bottom of the box? The whole Jag front and rear looks great and am sure it will ride like a dream.
Thanks Tom
