walmarts "steakhouse" steaks
ive had a couple in the last 2-3 weeks. i give it 2 thumbs up. definately restaurant quality. ive only had the porterhouse, but the rib eyes and t-bones look great as well. on the label it says "genuine steak house brand" there not lying. i think my porterhouse was like 1.13 lbs, and cost about 9 bucks.
ive been seeing the commercials for the last couple of months and was like what the hell ill try it.

yeah my 2 local grocers PUBLIX and Albertsons, there selection doesnt have anything on these steaks....
and i do have to add, yes walmart has been selling groceries and meats for years now, but these Steakhouse" steaks are new and do have there own meat section.....there add states money back on these steaks if not satisfied..............trust me, the taste is phenominal......i dont know who they have a contract with onthese meats, but my grocery stores cant compete.
and im not a huge fan of wally world, being from a small town i know what a walmart can do to local business, plus i wasted 2 years of my life working there when i was in college...........im just saying the meat is good

My local news ran a segment about Wal-Marts meat. During production of their packaged meats they bubble carbon monoxide through it. It gives the meat a nice red color, otherwise joking you into thinking their sub-par meat is of better quality. Not sure if it applies to their steaks though. I've severed all ties with wally world, haven't stepped foot into one in about 4 years.
For the most part I buy my meat in bulk, I go half and half with my buddy on a whole cow and pig. We buy it from a trusted meat locker, same folks who process the deer[s] I harvest each season.
Nothing like half a cow, half a pig, and a couple deers crammed in my deep freeze.

I have a rule about shopping Wal Mart. One is I don't buy anything from Wal Mart that goes in my mouth or is otherwise personal in nature. That goes for food as well as their contaminated toothpaste. I know they're cheap and all that but some things are just not worth taking a chance on.
Anything else gets run thru the dishwasher or wiped down with disinfectant soon as it comes out of the box just in case the Chinaman who assembled it had SARS.
