Question The Stupid stuff!?!?!?! Interior

Does it hurt anything if the Vapor Canister is unhooked? Just something I was wondering.

My dash has a bunch of Ugly places from the last owner like melted crayons and stuff like that. I scrapped most of it off but it still left it all discolored. Is there anyway to cover that all up?

My glove box is broke so it is held up with a pin. Is there anywhere that I can buy a glove box from?

My CAT is clogged and is there any cheap way of fixing it?( there is NO E-check were Im at)

My Back up lights don't work and the light that is behind the cab, at the very top that is supposed to shine at the bed doesn't work. Is there a switch somewhere to turn it on?

My truck still has weird problems of not wanting to go over 2000 Rpms.
It WILL go over 2k when it is first started and isnt on for more that 10
minutes. Anything after is seems wamed up it doesnt want to go over 2k.
real weird. The truck was throwing a code for the Thernastat but I don't think that would cause it

My horn Doesnt work either. When I push it the truck makes a clicking nose over on the passenger side. lol

I know I sound whinniy but its all stuff I have been wanting to fix but I dont know where to start. I don't really have much money either.

All help is appreciated!

Buy a dash mat, lol. They're very common and easy to find. Try LMCTruck.com

If you don't want to buy a new one, either snip the exhaust and shove a broom handle through the cat a few times, or remove it completely. But be aware that it's not very nice to mother nature

The clicking noise is your horn relay. If the relay is clicking like it should then there's only a couple places after that which can fail. One is the Yellow/LightGreen wire that runs to the horns, or the horns themselves are blown (theres 2 up there).

If theres no E-check were your at cut the cat off and put a pipe in its place.

Get a glove box from a junk yard.

Paint the dash with vinal paint.

For your weird running problems have it hooked up to a computer and get the codes and then tell us the codes

Turn your head light switch counter clock wize and the cargo light should come on.

And for the back up lights there is a sensor on your trans for that I think that might do it.

Good luck!

Not wanting to go over 2K rpm could also be attributed to the clogged cat. Had a similar problem before I re-did my exhaust. the cat was plugged real good. Replaced it (we do have e-check) and the problem went away.

The revving prob lemand the bad cat are one in the same. If the cat isn't letting enough exhaust flow though, it will basically choke the motor out as its like trying to exhale through a coffe stirrer. So, My advice would be either punch out the inside of the cat, or just cut it off and put a peice of pipe where it should be. Oh, yeah and on a positive note it will make the truck noticably throathier.

What about the Vapor Canister inside the engine bay; Does it have to be hooked up?

LOL when ever I try to put on the defrosters/heat there is a god awful noise coming from the engine bay. It sounds like it is comming from one of the soup can looking canisters. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it won't. I've already rulled out the belts but it would be nice if I could figure out how to have defrost again.

Is there any way to get the dust from hay and straw out of the carpet? I've tried using a sweeper and it doesn't get the really fine stuff...
