1957-1960 F100 vs F250?
Hey guys, new to classic F trucks, was wonderign whats the difference in F100 vs F250. Mostly as far as brakes, suspension, frame, body work, you get the drift. I know some times it's as little as a different rear axle and springs, others its a completely different truck. Thanks for all your help
PS tried the search but couldn't find anything, maybe I'm blind

Different springs-wider,I think,probably more leafs than the F100.The diff is a Dana/Spicer 60 vs. the 9" for the F100.More wheel options since they're 8 lug.Mine came with 19.5" wheels.Larger brake pads/drums/cylinders.A larger clutch,I believe.Others who know more can offer more info.Steve

IIRC, my F-250 also had solid spring bushings with grease fittings as opposed to the rubber bushings in my F-100. F-250 pickup also was only available with the 8' bed while the F-100 was available with 6' or 8'. I'm not certain (I sold the F-250 a long time ago) but I think it might have had a heavier frame too. It was a pretty heavy duty truck. After I robbed it for the good parts to put on my '58 F-100, I patched it up and used it for a shop truck to supplement my wrecker. This was in the 80's when the truck (1960) was well over 20 years old. I still have the F-100.
