Well, I do have some Ford content in this post

I finally got the Pete fired up today...the reason I can post this as "Ford related" is I was losing some serious juice while trying to crank it over, through my solenoid pack I built for it...this 3 series set of solenoids is to isolate the trailer battery charge from the main battery start circuit...oh...all 3 solenoids are the remote Ford ones...so there's my Ford content...

Anyway, short list for me to get off my fat butt and back to work..

Find and fix an airleak...I keep hearing a check valve groan.
Oil and coolant change
Grease it
Rebuild one solenoid (air solenoid)
Replace the starter solenoid
Replace two wheel seals
Get an AC compressor and two new belts and get it charged and in shape.

PS...this could also be Ford related, as the AC compressor looks just like the one on Dan's pickuup...

6 new batteries (ain't gonna screw around with these no more)

To add to the above and make a long list/wish list:

Paint the boxes (long list)
Paint the cab (wish list)

Looks like a few days work, a few trips to the DMV and a DOT checkup, and I'll have to start earning a living again

Oh...PS...FTE NC Chapter gets a discount on delivery charges

Hehe, I hear ya. It's a hard time to be an o/o with fuel prices goin through the roof and surcharges basically remaining unchanged.

Chet's so correct...I own it, but right now can't "op" it, but should be covered pretty soon.

Funny, when I moved back to Ca., frmo Az., I told them "I'll never drive a truck again"...at the time it would have cost me an extra 2 bucks to get my license..oh...but wait...fast forward 25 years...and I still have my MC license (and haven't hardley driven the bike since) and now have to pay for the time and privelege to get a license I need to make a living...

Aint it cool I went to school?

Good luck prepping the Pete. Never been a truck driver, so I don't know first hand, how bad or good it is, but more income is more income
