questions on new 2008 F250 FX4 (6.4PS)
Just bought a fairly loaded F250 here in Tennessee. My first Ford in 15 years and very nice....maybe the nicest truck I have ever owned.
Questions though:
I have the Nav Station/Radio/Multiple CD option but cannot find an outside temp gauge anywhere period.
Can't find an elevation function on the Nav Station either.
And it came loaded with the towing and auxiliary functions.....can someone elaborate about the auxiliary functions....are they for each outlet?
I'm running about 11.9/mpg mixed use brand new...any ideas about how much that might improve. Quite less than my Cummins did....by 50K in mileage it would do around 22 all round.
Thanks for any help and I'd love to hear any suggestions. I owned many Ford trucks for a long time but my last two were a GMC Dually and a MegaCab.
The F250 is sure nice. ....

I might suggest you get the book out and start reading. While you will usually get some pretty good info on your truck here, there is nothing like sitting in the cab while you read about different functions and features. This way you not only get first hand knowledge but get to experience actually playing with those features and functions. Most of the questions you have will already be posted somewhere on this forum, learn to use the search feature at the top of the page and you will get more info then you can imagine.
Welcome back to Ford. Personally, I think the 08 SD is the best truck I've ever driven and your mileage will improve, (probably). LOL

Thanks for the replies.
I had looked everywhere including the books but couldn't find it except on models that either had dual heating control or the fancier computer on the dash behind the wheel or those with the original box where my NavStation now sits.
I guess I will have to buy some add on and the rearviw mirror would be first choice but I've got that reverse video screen on that.
I own businesses that require I know the immediate temp.
any ideas on where else to add one on aside from the rearview mirror?

Mine also did not come with the temp and compass.I got use to them on my 04 so I inquired at my dealership. The looked it up and I would have to purchase the plug in module under the hood (there is a dummy plug in it now) $35.Next they said I would have to purchase a different instrument cluster with a smarter computer that displays more info ie.temp and so on.That would run me $365 and they would have to tell ford my current milage so they can program it and send it to them. Also $85 to install.
Hope that helps
