auxiliary transmission cooler question

Mine didn't come with one. I cut the metallic oil return line and flared it a little bit and put a rubber hose over it. Is there a better way? Thanks.

Nice to have you here.

If it's not leaking I'd say it's good.

only other way is with compression fittings but the way you did it will work fine. cooler lines don't have a lot of pressure

It is actually leaking after 2 years. The bulged area cracked and hose clamps don't seem to put uniform pressure on the tubing. I can either repair the joint every 2 years or put a compression fitting. Thanks for the suggestion. I will see if I can find a right size fitting for the aluminum tubing.
