bedside toolbox option???
Can anyone answer this question; Was the bedside toolbox a option or standard equipment on the 68 Ranger or did it come only on the camper special? Can anyone shed some light on this?

The trucks could be ordered with a factory installed toolbox, or an accessory toolbox kit was available at the parts counter.
The original kits or used toolboxes show up on ebay from time to time...but be careful, there are 4 different ones.
Two for 1964/66 ~ one for long beds, one for short beds.
Two for 1967/72 ~ one for long beds, one for short beds.
The 1964/66 type won't work on 1967/72's, and vice versa.

You'll have to cut a piece from another 67/72 quarter panel to get the correct configuration.
Make sure the piece cut out is
larger than you need.

I've never heard or seen one on the driver side, that has to be a myth.

I thougth this was a great feature on my dads pickup 68.
I suppose this is no longer available through Ford. Any chances there is a kit for an 08 Super Duty?
