Can anyone tell me who makes a good flat top piston?
I want to run around 11:1 cr
I have a set of dove-A heads that are ported and polished
and I`m going to run a comp cam either 34-342-4 .605 .605 lift
or 34-343-4 .640 .640 lift
this is for a race engine and eventually may run nitrous.
SRP is the way to go, they're not "that" bad expensive, they are forged, and they dont weigh near as much as trw's. You probably need just a flat-top with 1 valve relief for your application, cause with the small chambers you dont need a dome piston. I just put a 393 together, and the trw's would work, but the valves would hit the pistons with the .792 lift cam. The srp's dont hit at all..in fact, srp's are actually made by JE. Just my $02.
