I just changed my oil tonight and as I was writing it down in the book I noticed you are supposed to grease all the fittings. (15000 mile service)
I looked around and unlike my 99 I could see no fittings on the steering linkage. The only grease fittings I found were on the front axle steering knuckle u joints.
My 99 has fittings on the steering. And the new ball joints have zerks on the upper only, go figure.
Wipe them with a rag, maybe they are covered with grease.
My '04 has them on the steering linkages and the front axel U-joints. As I understand it, sometime in 05-06 they stopped putting them on the steering linkages.
I bought it used about 6 months ago. It had 26k on it then. I'd be surprised if the front axle U-joints had been changed. And part of the maintenance schedule is to grease them.
Note that I'm talking about the front axle U-joints. Not the front driveline joints.
