manual driver door window won't open/close
my driver side door window won't open or close. i finally got round to taking the door trim off. seems the glass fell off the arm that lifts it up. i can lift the glass up by hand and wedge the arm back under the glass and when i crank it will close the window. But when i crank to open the window, the arm slips off the glass causing the window to fall back down.
it's a 93 regular cab f150, power nothing

yeah there's a wobbly bit of square plastic on the end of the regulator arm... it works fine to raise the glass but when i roll it down the arm goes down before the glasss and then slips off.

I have close to the same problem. When I roll down either window, it wants to stick. I have to push down on the glass to get it to go down while cranking. Going up is fine. When the truck is warm or in the sun, I notice it goes down easier. I figure the glass is falling out of the track but I just haven't had the time to pull the door apart. No idea what is in there

Ok really need some help here guys. I sprayed graphite jiggy loo in the window tracks and it slides a little better but when I go to crank the window down the lever will go down, but if the window doesnt slide down fast enough to stay resting on the lever, it slips off.
I bent the lever a bit so it stays drop centre under the glass and the glass doesn't fall down in the door when the lever slips off but I still need to figure out how to force the glass down.
there's some rubber trim on the bottom of the glass that's peeling off but I can't see anything that looks like it's designed to force the glass down.
the only Idea i can come up with is to duct tape a thread of re-bar wire along hte bottom of the glass and fasten that to the crank so it actually pulls the glass down.

The plastic window roller has broken.
The window roller is a squarish piece of plastic (actually nylon) with a threaded metal pivoting stud on one end, that is pressed into the plastic roller.
The stud bolts to the end of the window regulator arm (with or without P/W's), the roller portion slides into the window channel that's bolted to the door glass.
What happens > > The threaded stud pulls out of the plastic roller.
Result = the window falls into the door.
