Sounds pretty sweet! Cant wait to see some pics farther along, 10k in power?!?!?!?!? Wow, and i though 1k was alot! LOL! Sounds like its going to be one NICE!!!! install when it all comes together, are you going to carpet the box or anything like that, or leave it bare wood?

O yes, i asked a company for a quote on some 3/4" plexi, they asked questions, but never got a quote together for me, that was like a month or so ago, still no word. Mind tellin me bout what it runs, or pm it to me if ya dont mind!

Thanks,
Don

It will be covered. I haven't decided if I want to match the vinyl from the inside of if I want to match the carpet on the under side of the top. I'll cross the bridge when I come to it.

The sheet ran me 150 bucks. I'm sure it's not the best price in town, but they are the easist to deal with and always have what I need in stock.

Spent most of my time today getting what I need to start a few things this weekend.

Used my new templete to make my cutout.

Pulled the box

Now I'm ready to cut the hole for the plexi.

Thats all for Tonight

Man it is slow going. It's a lot of little steps, thinking, more thinking and more little steps.

I cut out the back of the box.

Then I had to recess the plexi some on the box and then repeat it on the trim panels.

Not too bad of a straight line free hand with the router.

Then a layer of resin.

Then I drilled out the bolt holes for the trim to mount to the box. It took 4 different bits to slowly open up each hole without breaking the plexi.

Then I'm using tee nuts to bot to the back side of the box.
