looking for any idea's for increased fuel economy,hauling heavy load's,up to 20,000lbs.Will anychip's work with this weight?Any idea's

Contact Matt at Spartan Diesel as to the progress of custom tuning, I know he is working on it. Have not heard of anyone else that is having great luck tuning these trucks. Programmers are out for the 6.4L with mixed results. I doubt if your warranty will remain in tact if you pursue the custom tuning.

Changing your gears will help a lot. 4.30's and 4.88's are overkill for 20k and under. 3.73's will be plenty and run much lower RPM's which equate to less boost and less fuel used. I pull 18-27k daily with 3.73's and it has no problems with weight or fuel mileage. Delete the DPF when you can put a small programmer on and you should be good to go.
