Fuel Pump Problem?

I have a 78 F250 with a fresh 514 stroker & dual gas tanks. I recently changed the old carb and installed an Edelbrock 1411. It ran awesome for 15-20 minutes but since then it acts like fuel delivery is a problem. As part of the new carb installation I installed a fuel filter between the pump and the carb. Occaisionally now the truck "falls flat" like it is running out of gas, it is hard to start on a warm restart (I have to pump the gas), and it skips some as well. I have a hard time thinking that all the sudden I have a fuel tank pickup blockage or a blockage in the lines. The truck has ran fine for years. It just seems to be an odd coincidence that I put a new carb on a fresh engine and all the sudden now I have fuel delivery problems? Any ideas or tips appreciated.

Thanks - I'm confident vac leak isn't the issue. However the float possiblilites you mention I haven't checked out.

If you still had old carb, maybe put it back on as a test.

I would check the fuel pressure as well.
