01 EB Expedition

Hey to all....Newbie here,could use your expertise...Lookin @ 01 Eddie B with on 53k on od..One owner Tv/dvd and all bells and whistle from ford..My question is this,.what am I going to expect as far as reliabilty.MPG..fuel economy..I'ved never owned A truck before only small imports and Mommy vans..Don;t want another mommy van cause my to boyz are old enough now and say they are to cool for mommy van

Very reliable, except maybe if you have air suspension. very reliable engine. great truck overall, but dont buy it for the fuel economy!

I absolutely think it may be the best Ford product I have ever owned, 00 EB EXPY. I currently have an 80 F250 4x4 and a 05 PSD. I have owned an 86 Mustang GT, 66 Galaxie, 66 F150, 78 Zephyr, Mystique, two Explorers and one other Expy. If it is snowing out the Expy is what is driven. It is by far the best snow rig I've owned. I have towed a boat and utility trailer (8x14) with it and was never dissapointed. I take it all my long road trips. It gets decent mileage around town, 14 mpg and will get up to 17 if you stay at 55 on the hwy. I have had very little problems with it. I have 137K on it and it runs like the day I bought it with 19K miles. I have replaced all the spark plugs and done regular maintenance. The only thing that went wrong was a pinion seal and some axles seals. Otherwise, I have put tires and stiffer shocks on it to eliminate the body roll and a 40 series Flowmaster muffler on it. I plan on driving it for 200K miles and I see no problem doing that. If the Expy has been taken care of i say buy it. You can get them for around 8 to 10 grand and it is a great deal. Good luck.

Just picked it up from dealer,The only thing I had the dealer do is replace the air comp for the air ride..Other than that the ride is clean One Owner with only 53k miles..Thax again 4 your help and the Forum
