Exclamation 2005 4.6l

So I am new to this forum and new to the F-150s. I know anything can be turbo'ed or supercharged.....but i haven't found anything for my make and engine.....does anyone know of a good custom turbo place in the San Fernando Valley that would be up to the challenge? Anyone have any info that they could pass on to a newcomer? Appreciate all the help guys!

try a couple of things

You should try some websites like Vortechsuperchargers.com. Not only do they have all the mustang and supers for the early f150 (97-02) You could probably call them and ask them if the supercharger for the 2007 mustang would fit. I am sure that I would, You might have to get a different intake manifold, and have your computer reflashed, and other things might have to be done, as well as some transmission upgrades. However, you should expect to spend at least 12000 dollars. The reason, supercharger 3500-4500. New intake manifold 600-1200. Transmission upgrades probably 2000-3000. Computer flashing and misc. things 3500-4500. You might be able to bet some good deals or somethings might be on sale. If you can get parts yourself, and do all the work you would save a ton. If your going to spend that much you should just swap to a 5.4. Parts might be cheaper quantity of performance parts would alot more for the 5.4 than the 4.6 because no thinks that it can produce the numbers and given the money that would be needed to produce decent hp. The 5.4 would be cheaper to build, however given the cost to swap would be about 15000 w/supercharger. Thats no wiring harness or anything. It depends on what your wanting to accomplish and how much you want to spend.

it will not cost 12000 dollers trust me. There is a place that makes a universal remote mount turbo kit called STS turbo there kit is about 3000 (i think) but then the truck needs a new tune i was told about a 1000 for a piggyback system. then you have to do the fuel part and all you would need is a Boost A Pump form kenne bell for like 300 then new injectors about 400, and figure another 500 for little things like the vacuum switch for the boost a pump and all the little things. So that's like 5200

Thanks guys I appreciate it, I contacted STS Turbo and their sales rep. left me a voice message stating that they have a bolt on kit for the 4.6L now available. It was a little pricey a little over 5,000.00, I need to call and get the details on the performance aspect. I know I read up on a couple of people talking about using the Mustang chargers.......GOTTA DO SOME HOMEWORK.

Definitely think it thorough. But there 5000 kit will most likely have the fuel and Computer accounted for so after that 5000 that should be it.
