2009 F-150- What do you guys think??

I thought I'd ask you guys (since I've been to the F-150 forum and know what eveyone else thinks). If you haven't seen the pics, click on the link at the top of NE forum listing, then click on the gallery.

I'm not sure. It kind of looks like a re-skinned version of the current truck. I'll have to see one in person before I make my final judgement. FYI- I'm not a fan of the new F-250, I don't like the headlight arrangement.

I don't know what to think. They look alot like the new Chevy's to me (ugly.....but the Fords are alright). I'll stick with the '69 for a FoMoCo product

I agree. I think they need to keep the F-150 different, instead of trying to make them look the same. That is the appeal of having two separate truck lines.

Well Gang - I have to say that Ford continues to be consistant for my taste. The bad thing is they are consistantly bad; building some of the most boring cars and trucks on the road. Its sad when the most exciting vehicles they build today are based on 60s concepts (the Mustang and GT40). I'm with you Pat and will have to save my harshest words for after I see one in person.

Definitely need to see it in person too. The tailgate step looks to be a handy feature. It really doesn't look that much different from the current truck, except for those goofy oversized tail lights All the latest trucks from Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc, seem to be looking a lot a like. I was watching a news program from the Detroit auto show and the critics said they liked the looks of the new F150, but that Ford blew it again by not offering more power under the hood.

I'm with you Pat on the new F250, that headlight arrangement just doesn't look right.

I dont think Ford has released the power numbers on the new truck yet so nobody really knows for sure what it has. I really think has some great vehicles on the road today. Fusion an definitly the F series. I was joking the other day about how Toyota has some realy bland vehicles in there lineup yet they sell like hotcakes. Now can somebody tell me why. I really think Jake would look much better in a newer 150 then his Dodge but will have to wait on that one. I have a superduty myself an just got to drive one off the neighbors 2005 150. Man that is the nicest truck I have ever driven period. It will make any truck you drive including the competition look bad. Ok I hope you guys arnt going to e buying a new Toyota truck. I wont talk to you agin if you do. Just kidding.

I like everything on them, except for the headlight set up. I'm sure being closer to the road helps them lighting it up, but I just can't get over the thought that the headlights should be on top.... it just looks backwards to me. Otherwise, I'd love to have some of the new options, and the power of the 6.4.

Nope. The odds of me buying a Dodge (or a chevy, for that matter) are somewhere around zilch! I've always just been a Ford guy! Now, just because I don't like the look of the new SD doesn't mean I'm any less of a Ford guy. I love my 2006 SD, and my 97 F-150....and my '68 mustang...and my '39 Ford Coupe....I do plan on driving an '08 sometime, just for S&G's, especially the diesel. But I have no plans on trading off my '06.

150ford:

Don't worry about me driving anything but a Ford Truck. I am just dissapointed in the boys doing the styling. No offense Jake - But if you ever catch me owning a Dodge product (and I think they have some of the nicest looking vehicles on the road) you will know that I have eather lost my mind orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr OK - Lost my mind!
