When grill/headlight panels are worth $500 maybe $4200 for an equally worn-out truck isn't so unreasonable??

I blame the insanity totally on Barrett/Jackson. Duh.....

Well, I'm going to say there is probably someone who will recognize a bunch of relatively rare parts that are not rotten thru on that beast and pay it. West TX is very dry, so once that patina is off, you'd have a very clean original front bumper, no apparent rust-thru (I'm sure there's some somewhere), very rare outside spare fender, etc. If it were $2500 I'd jump on it. $4200 is top dollar for sure, but I think it may go for that.

Maybe it's just me, but the spare fender looks like it was done by hammer, and not stock - the bends are just too rounded, and the inside metal looks wrong. Plus, the spare holder, looks more like the spare holder from underneath, stick-welded to the bed. I really don't see too awful much on the truck, but you'all have much more experience than I do...

Now, if it had the REAR bumper, perfect, I'd be tempted!! (not really....)

I do like the look of the spare tire mount.. and it does look to be in fair condition, but I wouldn't give over $800, maybe $1000 for it. For $4200, it should be complete and driveable

After looking at that, I don't feel bad at all about the money I paid for my 2 trucks. I would think they are looking for top dollar.

Wow $4200....according to the add NEW CONDITION..??? HHMMMM not to mention the lack of an engine and being sold for parts with no mention of a title......I aree there are some rare parts and the truck appears to be solid just some surface rust but I don't believe its worth $4200.........

No, I'm pretty certain its not stock, if you look at the close up photos of the fender cutout, you can see how its irregular and has been hammered to fit. Also if you look at the top of the mount where its attached to the bedrail, its not a pretty weld, that and the fact that you can see the rust in that area where the paint was burned off. I mean if it was properly finished, that would be a nice looking mount, but it is by no means stock.

Take a look in the engine bay too, you can see where it must have had a later model engine in it by the look of the extra steel boxing plates (with the stylish flame rough cut edge) booger welded to the frame rails

The truck does have some decent sheetmetal, I don't think its over $1000 for parts.

I also love the fact that there is no mention of a title or bill of sale.

I really think I could do a MUCH better job on a spare mount. I've heard that on some trucks, you can do the cut-out, then flip it and reweld, for a very nice look. I wouldn't cut up any fenders, to try it though. Unless I had some totally unusable...which would be hard to find
