First time Ford Owner

Hey, I just bought my first Ford after owning only GM products my whole life. I bought a 1997 F250 4x4 with a 4.6L engine. It is in excellent condition inside and out. I have a set of stainless steel nerf bars for it which I will be installing later tonight. I also will be installing a Flowmaster system on it this weekend. In regards to the Flowmaster the muffler shop says I won't get much sound out of this truck because of the 4.6. Is this true? Does anyone have sdomething with a 4.6 and Flowmasters? If so how does it sound? Which muffler?
