I've got a friend with a late 70s crew cab.

I havent had to do much to mine since i added leaves in the rear except hook it up and go. Last haul i did with it was dragging home a 1976 pontiac bonneville 4dr hardtop. Only bad part was we had to load it on my trailer backward so anything above 60 and it would start to sway back and forth. Thankfully i was in no hurry with light traffic.

I love those old crew cabs! They're gorgeous. But do notice Ken that I said crew cab F150s in THIS ERA. So technically I'm still right

Look what I just ordered...

I have a bunch more parts to collect yet to make this work, and I may swap the heads at the same time as well, so it's not going on until spring I suspect.

I'm trying to get my truck done, but sometimes it feels like a never ending battle, and the weather isn't cooperating either.

Also, I HATE torx bolts.

Thumbs up

Had a big weekend over here...

Added a Flowmaster 40 w 3" pipe curling around the rear wheel. HOLY SHIZZZ, what a difference that little guy made! "Red" is hittin' 75mph - 80 with very little effort, acceleration is up and it sounds as good as that little 302 possibly could!

Then I added plain black wheels to replace the dated directionals that I bought the truck with. My 33's now look mean and with the Flowmaster, the whole truck is starting to morph into what I had envisioned! I also picked up some control ***** that were missing.

Now it's time to replace the positive battery cable and see if that'll turn off that damned battery light!

Next projects: Nerf bars, headers, auxilary lighting, bumper and I'm done! I swear!

Woohoo mine too!! Congrats QL2

And Paul, be sure to post plenty of pics and results after you get that intake put on; looks like a fun project.

As for me... My stock airbox with 300/460 intake duct arrived today (Larry lostin90s sent it to me -- what a great guy, huh?), and I purchased a Motorcraft paper filter from the dealer for $15. I had to take off before I got to swap it out but I suspect I'll have it my truck in about 4-5 hours when I get home. I'll post back with results from switching from the K&N FIPK.

Yup...he's finally becoming camera ready. I'll snap some after his next bath!

Man I'm tempted to buy that custom bumper in the classifieds but it's just way too steep for this guy right now.

Got my ventvisors for my doors, had to order them cuz Crew Cabs are never in stock.
My truck started with no problems , love watching the steam come out of both pipes in the morning.
Wife ordered Bully steps for me , waiting for them to show up, and put them babies on so she can get in easier.I love this thread!

It was 4 degrees this morning when Red started up, no hesitation, no problem. I even forgot to plug him in last night! [/salt in your wounds]
