I am having a problem with my 2006 F-150.. When it rains down here in Florida IT RAINS!! and it leaks into my truck from the back. I took it to the dealership when it was under warrenty and they told me it was the outside cab light leaking.. " they have been doing that in the 06' f-150s" they said. so the FIXED it... welll a few weeks went by all great then it rained the whole day. not fixed. Water stained seats agian.... has anybody else had this problem.? i think it is the back window....
Is it still under warranty? If so,keep taking it back until its fixed, correctly!
That's right. I went through this with my 1997 also with the mastic on the rear window. If a repair was made under warranty it is covered for 12 months from the date of repair. If the last repair was under warranty, and 12 months has not expired you should be golden. Talk t your service advisor and continue to you reach the regional supervisor if necessary. Be stern, but not rude. It worked for me before.
There's a few posts out there on this very subject. I think some have been putting a silicone or a RTV sealer on there (around the outside of the existing gasket).
I also thought I remembered one user that still took his truck back to the dealer since they warranty the repair work (after the 3/36k).
i would bring it back to the dealer. As long as your problem was reported before it was out of warranty they should fix it for free. Because what they did didnt fix it when it was under warranty.
