Ownercard Warranty ID Card decoded

I'm curious if any experts could assist me with deciphering the warranty card on my 73 F250 Camper Special. Thanks!

I'm no expert, but here's what I found.

F25 = F250 2WD

H = 390 2V

U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant

S05848 = 1973

UQ: U = Light Yellow Green / Q = Medium Lime Metallic

23 = ? DSO code? If so: Memphis TN Ford District Sales Office, where original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

F252 = F250 2WD Pickup / 7500 lbs. GVWR

4 = ? Could be trans code, but 4 not used except on F500's.

37J: 37 = Dana 60 / 3.54-1 / 5300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity / J = Power Steering

G = ? This also could be the trans code - if so = C6

A = ? Could refer to factory installed air conditioning.

Look on the Rating Plate, left door face near the latch.

Match the codes on the owner card with what you see on the plate...some of those codes make no sense, without knowing what they're for.

Yes it is. I'm surprised it survived after almost 35 years.

Great information! Everything makes sense. F250, 390 2V, auto trans, and still has those original tu-tone colors that you listed. The Memphis DSO code makes sense, as it has a Price Ford, Millington, TN stamp on the back bumper. And it does have factory AC/PS too. Could the '4' be an exterior or interior trim code?

It also has Ranger badges/trim. I'll compare it to the door tag like you suggested. Thanks again.

I had most of that typed then I realized it might the booklet card so I deleted it

The 4 stands for Styleside pickup

I think the A means Conventional pickup

Yours is the first card I have seen with that much info on it.

I have 3 of them to look at.

My 78 is lacking about 4 codes and I bought mine Brand new in 78

The 73/79 car parts catalog has illustrations of the "typical" Owners Cards: 1973/77 & 78/79. Why the 73/79 truck parts catalog doesn't, I dunno. The DSO is listed in an odd place, most of the other codes don't follow the sequence of the Rating Plate.

In the car parts catalog: A = A/C, factory installed.

I've done some further research and found that for 1973 U=Limestone Green Poly, and Q=Winter Green. Please anyone correct me if my information is incorrect.

I can't confirm the codes, but I can confirm that sounds like a real kick-*** 70's color combo!

I never got the extended service plan so I never got one of those cards.

The 77 card is slightly different than the 79 card.

I'll have to check my 78 card.
