Has anyone done this? Or better yet, does anyone have any pics of what this looks like? Im a big fan of the black wheel look, but I simply cant justify spending the money on new wheels. How much does it cost to have this done? Thanks for the input.
Do not do this in your kitchen oven. Momma will not be a happy camper.
That why I said find an "old" kitchen oven. You can use momma's kitchen oven, just buy her a new one first, then she won't care what you do with the old one.
Just talked to a friend of mine and he has the Eastwood kit and said it works really well he did is now covers oil pan and miscellaneous parts on his racecar. He bought an old oven and put the parts in and said they came out perfect.
which stock wheels are you going to powder coat. The key is awesome prep. If they are polished aluminum it is not a do it yourself job. You will never get coating to stick. That was what I ran into when I clear powder coated my SVT wheels. Most guys who powder coated did not even want to touch them. I finally found one guy who knew how to do it.
boxcar brings up a very good point. I totally forgot about the preperation. If you have steel wheels you should be OK, but you'll run into trouble with most other finishes.
