I don't think you will see any increase in either from brand to brand. You may find a difference in lenght of useable life of the plugs. Now if yours have been in for 50-60 thousand miles you may notice an improvement with new ones. I used to run plugs 70-80 thousand back when we still had point ignition systems. That was done by pulling them out at around 30,000 filing the center electrode square with good sharp corners setting the gap and going down the road. Back then Champion made a sandblaster with a tester, if you put a used plug properly gapped into it and raised the pressure the spark would quit at x number of lbs, file it, gap it and the pressure to stop the arc would be raised. By the way I use Autolite or Champion. Kotzy
Third that. As crazy as it sounds, the 300 seems to run the best on your regular old name brand spark plugs. Stuff like NGK and Bosch don't seem to do anything for it.
FWIW, I think you will find Autolite associated with Fram.
I like to always run Motorcraft plugs. I went over to the platinum because the coppers seem to not last so long. The platinums work fine and are not really very expensive for as often as you change them out.
