The front sway bar is also a little close to the steering arm but haven't noticed any rubbing.

Any shots of how close the axel sits to the frame?

It's a real cowl hood. It's a Lightning Hood from Cervini's. There is a second part that mounts under the hood to direct the air into the airbox on the L. It requires you to find a lightning airbox and replumb the air intake if you don't have a GEN1L. The jury is out as to whether it actually works as a Ram Air hood or not...

No pics from underneath yet, I HAVE been thinking about measuring under there too to make sure maybe my box ain't crooked. It's still too wet in WI to be climbing underneath yet...

well im new to the forums, here is a picture of my 1997 f250hd v8 5.8l reg cab long bed with about 112k miles. she is pretty much stock with the exception of an air horn. Just bought the truck back in november of 08. since then i have replaced the ball joints and ujoints, new fuel pump for the center tank, a new serptintine belt, and put a hitch in. knock on wood there is not a think wrong with her aside from rusting sadly. im only 17 so im pretty broke from paying for insurance and whatnot but within the next month i hope to buy a nice chrome grille guard and get some lights mounted up on it. also, can anyone tell me what the biggest size tire i can put on my truck without them rubbing? thanks, hopefully the pic works

Second thing, when you are bolting your axle back up (they dont tell you this is easier in the directions) Bolt your radius arms to the axle, then raise the whole thing up into your frame and drop-brackets........its a heck of a lot easier that way, but they forget to mention that in the directions.
Yeah im waiting on this project for my dad to get back from japan. I never take on projects like this without assistance at least being readily available if not with me the whole time. I cant wait to get it together though! these extnd radius arms from SUperlift are going to look so SWEET and theyre going to make it tough as nails!
Thanks for the hint about bolting to the axle before bolting it up! That makes so much more sense!!
Thanks man!
And i will definitely put up pics once i lift her!

Nice... What kind of exhaust are you running, and what size tips? Im thinking about going with some duals out the back with 3.5" tips on mine in the next few months (and 35% tint hehe.)

Im I seeing correctly, the exhaust used to be routed in front of the tires? What are your thoughts on that set-up?

Thumbs up for the wheels and tires too...

94mustang8t, thank you for your kind comments! Yes the exhaust tips exited in front of my rear tire. It was too loud in the cab there. My tips are 3.50'' also. The next time I buy tips I will buy 4 or 4.50'' if I can find them. I'm running a Flowmaster Super 44, 3'' in / dual 2.50'' out. This muffler would sound great on a V8! YouTube - Cold start Prt.2.

I have a lot of videos of my truck if you're interested in what it sounds like.

By the way, I won't run exhaust tips out the rear anymore. I heard someone say if you're rear-ended, it could do a lot of damage to your exhaust manifolds. It makes sense if you think about it. Just something to think about!

Cool, that sounds good.

I will probably go with a Cherry Bomb Vortex 3" inlet, dual 2.5" outlets as well. 2.5" Magnaflow tailpipes, and 3.5" rolled 15 degree 18" long tips. 4" tips would be sweet, but I am worried about clearence when using the ole 4WD. My buddy has 4" tips on his Ram, they look nice for sure.

Some of the better mufflers I've heard on YouTube weren't Flowmaster or Magnablats, but Cherry Bomb and Thrush mufflers (not glass packs, but mufflers). unfortunately, I don't know anything about them. They have straight thru styles and baffled styles, but I don't know which is which. That's why I always pick Flowmaster.. They go in serries. I know the loudest is 10, 40, 44, etc, and quiet is the 50 series.

Take plenty of pictures and sound clips when you get it done. I want to hear your rig!
