well i have a buddy that i go to school with that runs a polishing/powder coating business that got me a good deal. first he did a complete polish on my rims with a 2hp buffer (beast). then he did a powder coat on them that was a clear. after the powder coat, it actually dulled the polish a little bit from when they were freshly polished, but you wouldn't be able to tell as they are shiny as heck. the beauty of them being powder coated is is that i never have to polish those dang alum. rims again! all that i have to do when they get covered with brake dust or other dirt is take a wet rag, wipe, and they look brand new again! that is worth its weight in gold rite there. the chalkiness that you are talking about with the rims that you are looking at is most likely oxidation.

thank you! i got the bumper off one of my grandpas company's old oilfeild trucks before it went to auction.

i'm not 100% sure what the pockets are for honestly...some of the bumpers hard them some did not. i hear it has somthing to do with holding pipe for some reason but idk

the pocket was probably for a cage piece that went above the cab to hold oilfield pipe when drivin down the road. its pretty common on oil field trucks to have a cage like that on the front and rear

My "new" truck '92 F-250 XLT, 4x4, 460, E4OD.

Yanked around 6000 to 7000 lbs of concrete without a hiccup.

What happened to the 87? Why are you going to use the engine from the 87?

That looks like a decent truck. Don't get a billet grille. Those look like hell on 87-91 and 92-96. They only look good on 80-86.
