Show Off Your Pre-97 Trucks
Here's my 92 XLT, with 4x4 and a 302, the day I returned from picking it up from the west coast. Lotta days outside, but the only issues were a little cab corner rust and some stone chips.
Here it is with some rims off a 94, I think. Got some new tires, polished the daylights out of it and applied a paint sealant. Cab corners fixed, but stone chips still there. Had the box bedlined.
And here it is now! I mainly use it for towing either the boat or sled trailer, so had loads more line-x bedlining done to prevent stone chips. New bumpers bedlined with line-x all around. The running boards were holding a lot of crap from the dirt or gravel roads I ended up taking them off, although I personally liked the older look more. I'm trying to find a cap with a 1 piece glass door because this fiberglass door has a tendency to rub into the line-x on the box rails. Not keen on buying a brand new cap, but so far that type is slim pickings used.
I've done a 3g alternator swap, installed a pair of hayden 405 coolers for trans and steering, did a saginaw swap and replaced the vacuum lines and reservoirs. Added front and rear hitches. HD rad, new gaskets throughout. Took the heads off and had them decked and a valve job. Was 78k miles when I bought it, up to 93k miles after a couple years and the cross-country trip. Runs strong and doesn't leak a drop! Installing new suspension and sway bars this summer.

Rogue angel in heaven that likes Ford trucks, is at it again. I have no control, I just do what I am told. Brought this guy back from California: 1994 F-350. 7.5-460 V8. XLT. I usually only look at manuals, but this guy is automatic. 34k one owner, all stock, original miles. Built at the Oakville, Ontario Canada Ford plant. Absolutely love this truck.
Thanks. Hey, how ya doin? You like the older trucks as well as the 12th Gen! I have 3 of these 9th Gen now-95 F150/94 F250/94 F350, so I think I am done. I like 9th Gen.
'Course I like the truck I brought back from PA as well. I behaved myself for 8 years, and then find two trucks within 3 months. My first 460-I really like the engine. This guy
rides like a truck, too.....bumpy road surface and it's hang on buckaroo.

My dad ran across this one and we were able to bring it home yesterday. It is an 1993 F150 XLT Xtracab with 58k miles on it. This is the proverbial 'Papaw truck' as you can tell by the bed rails, running boards and white wall tires. We will spend some time cleaning it up and fixing a couple of small things that need some attention, but overall its a great truck. Of course, I want to do more to it than my dad as he actually likes the white wall tires.
I am huge fan if white letters and have some that I can put on there, we will have to see what happens. I see that you are from central Mississippi, we are in Clinton.
We are neighbors that run in the same circles!
