Got a new radiator! Settled for the plastic/aluminum combo over my solid metal one, hopefully it works out. Always fun to work in the dark!
Better than needing to change it in the Autozone parking lot on the way to work when it is 20F outside I did that the first cold morning after changing a water pump, since I forgot the antifreeze when filling it back up. Fingers were froze solid trying to install some rubber grommets in the aluminum using bare hands lol.

That sounds painful! Only had one bump with this, realizing they forgot to put the thermostat gasket in the bag even though I'd paid for it. Luckily it doesn't get too cold here
Showing off my new to me 1988 F350. 460, zf5 3.55 open. So far it has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil, rusted exhaust cut off to the cat, running boards taken off, new tach gauge cluster, factory cassette radio. What do you think I should add? So far my plan is to get it running right, it runs rich and once and a while idles rough between 500-700 rpms. Anyways, here are pics, most up to date is next to my Marquis
Looks great! Because I'm not the most mechanically sound advice giver, I'd say get some bigger tires on that thing! Looks like it's going to be a ton of fun. Something about that color combo just looks so classic to me.
Enjoy!

It definitely needs bigger tires on it. Right now it has 225/75r16s. My friends car has 225/65s haha
I had 16.5s on mine when I got the truck so I knew I had to change out the whole kit and kaboodle because 16.5s are impossible to find. I went with 16s but my heart wanted monster tires. Haha. I'm all right with these but I figure I can live vicariously through you.

Looks like a decent truck man, but I do have to agree that it needs some bigger tires... 265/75/r16 are decent "mid size" tire, they don't look too small, and definitely don't look too big (that's the size i run for my snow tires). But personally I much prefer the look of my 305/70/r16 that I use the rest of the year.
Thanks Fastback460! Pretty soon it will get licensed and insured and be my DD. It will get the 235/85r16s from my 86, and the 86 will get these babies as its in storage for winter. Then eventually the 86 will get some bigger better tires to swap between the two trucks.
My 1995 F150. 302, 4x4, 5 Speed. Track-Lok front and rear. I spent the better part of the last year restoring this truck. Belonged to my neighbor who was going to scrap it as it had gotten so rusty. I bought it from him instead. I replaced the front floor pans, the front cab mount supports, both rocker panels, the core support and the inner and outer cab corners with new sheet metal. I sourced a replacement tailgate and a bed from Texas for it, which still needed some work on the wheels arches. I've replaced the cab bushings with polyurethane ones from energy suspension. I installed a new carpet, new fuel vapor line, new brake lines, new calipers, wheels cylinders, rotors, pads and shoes. Also replaced the emergency brake cables. The entire truck was repainted the original colors, Calypso Green and Oxford White. The inside of the bed was sprayed with tinted Raptor Liner, and underneath painted with SEM Rust Trap and top coated with U-Pol Gravitex. I'm putting the final bits and pieces back in place now, but it will be back on the road soon.
