Thanks!

Some of the workers at the body shop thought that it looked best when they put the base Gray down at first, but immediately changed their minds when they got the Silver center stripe and roof painted! It's such a nice, completely tasteful color combo. I don't know of anyone who says the colors look ugly. The Red pinstripes really set the colors off as well!

The 2 tone OBS all look really good. I think it's what made them stand out.

That's a great pair of paint jobs. (Sandy & Christian)

What did you use to clean that engine bay? I really want to clean mine up if I ever find the time.

Mainly a product called Krud Kutter. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowes for sure. It will be in the flooring cleaners dept. The Gallon size and a spray bottle. That plus who knows how many rolls of paper towels and a lot of hours. Way to much grease for rags. Being retired I had plenty of time so that helps. Been adding some chrome loom the last few days. Probably have at least 25% more HP now.

Thanks Sandy,

That looks amazing, I'm taking my 97 to another show in about 3 weeks and I would really like to get it clean enough to make it worth leaving the hood up this time. But 20 years of grease/crud and very little free time is going to make it a challenge for me.

One other product that is amazing is Back to Black by Chemical Guys. You can go to their website or they have it on Amazon. You just spray it on everything and anything black things shine like crazy. It leaves a little residue that you can't really see but you just leave it alone OR you can wipe it for a different appearance. I don't touch it. It should be relatively clean but you can try it dirty. Amazing stuff. Most of our shows are at night now because of the heat (107*) feel like today. So I'm looking forward to the weekend shows when it is cooler.

That Krud Kutter will cut your cleaning time by half. It loves to eat grease and don't use water, it doesn't like it.

Sounds like that's the stuff I'm looking for then. Hopefully I can set aside a few hours this weekend and get some cleaning done.

Thanks again

1988 F250 XLT Lariet, 460, C6, reg cab, long bed.

An 80s era truck, now with an 80s era camper. I'm taking it on it's maiden voyage this weekend (for me anyway). I picked up this camper just a couple days ago. I have no idea what year it was made, the previous owner only described it as an 80s camper.

When I bought this truck I discovered it had Timbren "helper springs". I've done a few test laps around town with the camper. It rides great. 460 moves it along well. The brakes definitely know there is a camper back there.

RV'ing is all new to me. So wish me luck.

That's really nice.

Original or re-paint? (cause the match on the cover is excellent)

Yes sir, it's original. It has some scratches and dings but it cleaned up pretty good with a dual action polisher.
