I would suggest a leveling kit (<$100 for the good AS kit), but even without that you can fit a 33" tire. If you have the stock 18" wheels I would go with 285/65/18 or 275/70/18. Stock size is 275/65/18.

Not going to work. Thats almost a 35 x 13 inch tire. Way too big for a stock height truck. With a 2.5" level it would be tight and probably rub at full lock. The biggest you want on a stock truck will be a 285/65/18 or 275/70/18.

Others may know better, but I don't think you can fit a 305-65-18 without a leveling kit either. Many people run that size BFG a/t but all have at least a 2" leveling kit.

I can say that on my truck the 275-70-18 does look bigger than stock. Its a much more aggressive tread and about 1.1" taller.

For your reference:

Tire Size - Width - Diameter
275-65-18 - 10.83 - 32.07
275-70-18 - 10.83 - 33.16
285-65-18 - 11.22 - 32.59
305-65-18 - 12.01 - 33.61
325-65-18 - 12.80 - 34.63

I would deffinately recommend a leveling kit. You can get a 2" AS kit for $90 shipped, and install is pretty easy. It will make big difference in the look, and also in what you can fit.

Here's a pic of mine with 275-70-18 Toyo Open County AT's and a 2" AS leveling kit. There are more in my gallery.

Look online at treadepot.com and search by tire for 325/60R18. There are a lot of good prices for that large of a tire. The 325/60 is 13" wide and 33.4" tall. Don't know if it would fit, though. I just ordered 3" leveling kit and changing the rear block to a 3" on my '04 Screw FX4 and I will be putting the 325/60 Toyo Open country on my truck.

A 13" wide tire may rub a bit with the 3" kit, but not bad. Deffinately not doable without the leveling kit though.

And which 3" kit did you get? The general concensus is that anything over 2.5" puts pretty severe angles on your front end components.

Good choice! What tires did you end up with? 35x12.5 should looks nice with the leveling kit.

thank you for your advice.my ford dealer tells me that with the kit(2.5")level kit,my 35's wont rub.i hope he is right, just spent 2000 on 5 tires.i went with bfg mud terrain, i think they are tm2 or something.probably not a great highway tire but the town i live in is very small.5 minutes to drive from one end to another.i will still have the original tires for when i drive out on vacation.have you heard of these,or even owned a set,if so your input on these tires would be great.thank you, have a good day.

The new BFG Mud KM2's are pretty popular around here and some other F150 sites. They look great and are suprisingly quiet for a mud terrain. Good choice, and try to post some pics when you get them on.
