Was just curious what it takes to install a front brake line lock on our trucks and how much they cost. I know some of you guys have done it. Do they work well?
i dont have any on my powerstroke but i put two on my bronco... one for the front axle and one for the rear axle. i LOVE them!
they are really easy to install. basically decide where in your system you want to put them, cut the hard line, double flare both ends, connect the line lock and bleed the system. then just run very basic wiring to a switch in the cab. i didnt like the switch that came with it so i used a standard 2-pole, 2 terminal switch with a lighted end to help determine when its on.
i recommend not buying the install kit, they are way overpriced for what's in them. you can buy it all seperate from your local store including any brake line adapters!
i have really kicked around the idea of line locks for my PSD since its a 5-speed! sometimes i want to lock the front brakes as well as the rear parking brake
