ok want my truck to have a more rumble v8 sound
i completly understand that its not gonna sound like a v8
what should i do i want it to be loud when i get on it and have little or no cackeling
now i have 2 cats and nothing but wouldnt mind takn the cats off and having a good rumbleing muffler
what do you all have and and video so i can hear it before i buy it?

I say this friendly like, but had you done a search you would have find gobs of threads like this one. Anyway an easy way to make it sound better is to cut off the muffler and cats. Then it'll sound more like a tractor. The best way is to run a muffler for each 3 pipes, no cats (I should add I haven't heard a 4.9 like this that I'm aware of, but I hear that is the best sounding). Really the 4.9 sounds good no matter what. I have 2 cats no muffler with a Y pipe and it sounds like a small 8 at idle and a possed tractor when running. Not really loud or even as good as others, but it works for me.
Edit: I see you have efi like mine. Really it should sound good the way it is, but you'll get a better sound out of a carb'd model I think.
