1st Noticed

I have an 08 F450 with 4:88's and just shy of 14,ooo miles.

Today after a 70 mile run on the Interstate at 65-70 mph upon slowing on a city street exit, my truck began to blow white smoke like I have never seen before.

This blast of blueish white smoke only lasted about 10 seconds but surely got my attention and that of the fella behind me.

I have never experienced an event like this to date with this truck. My question to the experienced panel here is, Should I be concerned, or is it the opinion of the panel this is a normal function of the regen???????

i saw a psd 08 f 250 pulled over , it was belching white smoke. i stopped and i tlked to him,,we listend to it an smeled the exhaust. it smeeled like unburnt fuel. it stopped doing it and he went on his way. the truck was 2 days old and it evidently went into that cleaning mode or whatever? maybe it was because the exhaust temps were to low to burn in the recovery ting?

That's not uncommon. This is caused by the truck going into regen when the temps are just not high enough. It's just unburned fuel in the exhaust.
