I was wondering what the first song MTV played was, I know I heard it in a tv program, but here is the play list.

The Doobie Brothers song "What a fool believes" may not be on the list, but is sure reminds me of dawn patrol surf sessions. I can smell the sea spray at this very moment.

 

I was only 11 years old at the time,and we had no tv,so i don't know what mtv was playing at the time,but classic rock is my favorite music,so I know most of those songs listed

 

the very first video/song played on mtv was video killed the radio star. i don't remember thne group that performed it, but that was the first one.

 

I was 9 so I was in 4th grade.....
