more directly I want an F-150 with the diesel and the 6 speed manual. I would settle for a 5 speed manual.
But the dealership here doesn't stock ANY trucks with the manual. So I have to order my Super Duty if I am to get it the way I want it.
Rumors have been that Ford MAY offer a diesel in the 80/09 F-150. If so I hope they will put that drive train in the Expedition. I will trade my F-350 off and get one of each.

The poll needs to have, in the title, "vote only if you are someone who would be a new truck buyer." Non-buyers are a non-issue as they are a non-market. I say this based on being able to see who's voting, and their profiles tend to be an indicator of whether they are new truck buyers or not.

NO. You can't sell them and dealers don't want them either so they offer you very little trade in. Very few families have all members who will/can drive a standard transmission. You can sell an automatic to someone who wants a standard but you can never sell a straight drive for someone who wants an automatic.

What does this one mean. I would buy a new one with a V8 but would NOT settle for an auto

The poll is not worded very well. It is missing the choice I would pick. “I would only buy a truck with a manual transmission, V8, & 4x4”. Auto transmission is not an option.
In my case this paid off for Ford because I ended up spending more money on a Super Duty because that is the only truck still made that fit my requirements.

WRONG. Why would I be willing to pay more money for a vehicle I find less desirable?

Right now its like asking a bunch of people "how many of you would buy a Ford" when the audience is loaded up with 2/3rds Chevy owners. Its not that their opinion doesn't count... its that ultimately the manufacturer listens to people in the buying pool.
