Well this begins buy my brakes going bye bye.....went to pull the pass. side drum off and it was seized to the hub. My friend decided to smash it off some blacktop and screwed it all up.....rednecked it for now but winter is here and 4wd is a ness...... I have only found disc brakes in all the junkyards round here...my ? is the hub from a drum the same as one with disc brakes? INFO is greatly needed LOL!!!

thats a typo will fix...but its a 74 f100 4x4...dana 44 with manual locks on hubs...l/s diff.... I know the 2wd are diff because they cant house the axels....my ? is simply is there any difference between a hub for drum brake or a hub from a disc brake....

2WD / 4WD hubs are different - will not interchange.
In fact, Ford never sold the hubs separately on 2WD's after 1957.
Ford only sold certain 4WD hubs separate from the drum. It depends on the application.
1974 F100 4WD with locking hubs:
C8TZ-1104-A .. Front Hub
Fits: 1968/76 F100 4WD w/ locking hubs.
