Has anyone ever heard of five lug 16.5's? My buddy has some awesome 16.5 inch mud grips, and want to put them on his '79 bronco. Or is there some kind of an adapter? thanks
I have never heard of a 16.5-5 lug. Does he know why they quit putting 16.5’s on trucks? They tend to come off the rim if you stress the side wall from hard turns or climbing over rocks, and if the air presser gets a little low the bead can come off on turns.
They make adapters for everything. The reason the 16.5's come off the rims is because the dumb a#@ put them on a 16" wheel. An old friend of mine that happens to be a tire man said you cant believe how many times that happens. I've never heard of a properly mounted 16.5 coming off.

My grandfather lost two of them. They were 16.5’s on 16.5 rims factory mounted. After the 2nd one ford replaced them all with 16” for free because of the problems they have.
I have ran 16.5's without any problems ever. 38 inch swampers on my diesel F250. Yes as stated before, you can buy the rims with a 5 hole pattern. I happen to have 16's on my wife's Bronc and soon to have 16's on my Bronc.
