Oil on ICP sensor

Pulled my ICP sensor to troubleshoot my idle issue. It had some oil on it. Not leaking anywher I can tell but just some oil on the insert portion of the sensor plug.

Is this a sign I should replace the sensor. I haven't gotten a good/cold start to verify if idle/perf issues could be sensor related but seeing the oil makes me wonder if the sensor is bad and should be replaced.

Thought?

The oil people refer to that points to a bad sensor will be on top, under the plug. It means the sensor body has a hole in it and is letting the oil pass through it. HTH

Have you tried unplugging the ICP to see if that clears up the idle? If it does then I'd say you need a new sensor. Just remember the truck won't run right with the ICP unplugged.

From everything I've read on here, that's a sure sign that the ICP is going out. You'll want to replace it.

Edit: Here's one for you on eBay for $60, which is about half of what the dealer charges. Item number 130185291235 if the link below doesn't work. Only 16 hours left in the auction.
