Until this day my friend still makes fun of this 1987 YZ125 motorcycle I had. It had the "BASS". Brake assisted suspension system that adjusted the valving of the back shock during braking. Well that system sucked and they finally ditched it.

Moral of the story: Time to ditch the trash bag holder. I looked at it this morning and chuckled. How stupid ? !

You older guys may remember that this was the common alternative function of the cigar-lighter. AAA even used to give out a bag with their triptik information that doubled as a trash-bag designed to hang from the dash. I grew up assuming that dashboards would have a trash-bag hanging from it somewhere.

Old-fashioned, perhaps, but certainly not stupid.

Just cause I can remember that doesn't mean I'm old.

Anyhow, I agree Old-fashioned, useful, nostalgic but not stupid.

I blocked my panty hook with my CB. Got some longer bolts and used the existing holes. Worked pretty good.

It would be cool if someone would offer an aftermarket part to replace that hook with something more useful. I would vote for a real CB mount!

I've got the exact same cb the 18wx but it's trying to crap out. I mounted mine on a ram ball mount on the floor so I can still have my garbage bag hook for cans and such.
