ok so I should clean up the body ground? Ill try that...but Im pretty sure its my eec. Like I said I replaced everything else on the dang thing. Is it the little black box up under the drivers side of the dash/kickpanel??? How much are they and who's rockauto??? Are they anygood? and are they cheap??
i went onto rockauto.com and couldnt find them is that something special that I need to call them about?
They are on there but somehow I could not link to the page and post a link to it after I found them.
It looks like you will have to have your part number off the old one.
I still am trying to figure out how it seperates a 3 digit code from a 2 digit code.
The digit separation is the same for both two and three digit codes. If you'll notice, the delay time between digits of a single code is shorter than the delay time between the last digit of one code and the first digit of the next. Once you stare at the check engine light blink a few times, you will get a feel for the delay time and you will recognize when a new code is starting and when it's just the next digit of the current code. That link I posted earlier should help you out with the timings.
I emailed customer service at RockAuto and these guys are great. They contacted the manufacturer of the EEC and found out that my symptoms could be from a bad unit. They preferred that I try another code reader before sending it back, but they will replace it free of charge.
I'm am now a big fan of RockAuto.
Ok...im not sure I understand...its in the drivers side kick panel (meaning in the cab)...but you have to get to it under the hood??? Loosen the INNER fender???

well the whole in the cab and under the hood sounds kind of contradicting? Is it in the cab behind the plastic drivers side kick panel or is it under the hood near the icm or something?
