The older style exhaust manifold (6 into 1) has an exhaust leak at the heat riser on my 86 F250 (its a '78ish engine). It leaks where the heat riser pivot shaft goes through the manifold and it produces the most annoying hissing/ buzzing sound on the planet. I was thinking of replacing the existing manifold with the newer style split manifolds. I realize I'll have to have a head pipe made-up. Will my existing intake work (bolt-up to, etc) with the newer manifold?? Thanks.

I would think that the newer split manifolds should fit. I havent tried with the stock intake, but plan on trying with a 4 bbl intake.
