I don't think the smoked lenses are legal for street use anywhere. There were a few vehicles that had this type of covers from the factory, and most were very light, and had other provisions for the reflector requirement. Poor visibility and lack of reflectors are the 2 main items that will get the attention of Law Enforcement Officers.

2nd. I thought it was illegal everywhere. Plus, I dont really understand those mod anyway. Especially the headlight blackout lenses. I want MORE light, not less!

I'm in AZ and see them on cars and trucks every so often.... But they will ticket you for them, If you get a cop in a bad mood. (Good Mood will get you a warning).

that sucks! i would have thought that in arizona especially they would let that go, you can do everything else down there in the AZ (no helmets, guns all over the place, its still the wild west down there!)

We sell TONS of smoked taillight kits to people in AZ and have never heard of anyone having a problem with the police. As long as the light shines through, it should be no issue.

Our rockblocker kits at http://www.Dabears2k.com offer either 80% or 73% of the light to shine through while retaining the blackout look. They allow your taillights to be seen, but still look black.
