H.E.I. For FORD??? and even for the 300???!!!!!

Howdy everyone! I have been doing some searching for some parts for my engine since I am rebuilding (for the second time) and stumbled across this in a catalog. I have to say that $hevy did do one thing right with their ignition set up. Now someone has converted the popular HEI one wire setup for Fords! Here is the link to it. It will explain everything. But I am excited to see that they do make one for the 300...plus most of the other Ford V-8's. Here is the end to the hard search for a good ignition for the 300!

No complaints here but i am in need of a lil hotter spark...and i dont want to drop $500 + for the Jacobs set up or MSD. Its compact and cleans up the wires....but what ever works for you is really whats best.

As per the web page, about $350. (link is up above in my orginal post) Im going to get one and see how is works. lord knows that i need to get rid of some of thoes wires under the hood and this will help....'coars it will be a while till i get the beast up and running but it will be worth it!

dan, i know a guy who is running one. he put a 77 302 in an 85 f150 right before smog laws changed here. he had problems with computer and old distributor, so he did the dui. he is happy with it. but, he paid about 500 for it through a speed shop.
he also swapped in a gm alternator with single wire hookup!

dan, have you ever seen a set-up like the one on the inline six jeeps that use three coils and no!!distributor?
my wife's trooper also has this setup. it runs like crazy, and no moving parts.

Yeah...im a mechanic..i have replace a many of cam/crank position sensors! haha...when you get a chance, and if you dare, look at the new chevy engines. On the 8's they have one coil per plug. Thats 8 coils! Its kinda weird but got to hand it to em...less wire mess. AND on their new I-6 engine..the 4.2 i think...on the 4x4's, the front differential bolts to the oil pan and the axle goes through the crank case....never see that but i can only imagian what that is going to be like to work on...yuck. I dont know if Ford has gone to a DIS ignition yet on the pickup's yet or not but its only a matter of time...i know the mustangs use it....o well....i just like my 6 sparker twrilly thing just fine thanks! haha!
