Video of the truck rolling some smoke

Some of you have asked me to get video of my truck rolling the smoke since I put the B Code injectors in. I was out playing around a bit today and decided to try and get some video for you all.

It's not the greatest since it was on a cell phone camera and I was doing it one handed (and backwards) while driving on some back roads. Anyway, here it is. Also, if you can pause it at around 38-39 seconds, you can see the pyro on it's way to 1400* and the boost gauge pegged at 35 psi.

Good video Jeremy! Man, the truck sounds good. Almost sounds like a GE Diesel Locomotive!

Pretty sad that phone can do better than my borrowed camera. That's technology. Truck sounds great Jeremy.

Jeremy that is badass!! I want it! I'm in the process of installing stacks as we speak and I know I am going to want B-codes like right now to fill the smoke desire. It'll happen in time. Great video.

BTW, hows the van turbo holding up? I wonder if you could control B-codes with the proper nozzles and tuning with a van? I'm jealous

The van turbo is holding up, it just can't control the EGT's or clean up the smoke in the upper chip settings. In the 80 econ setting, smoke is almost non-existant. In the 100 setting, it will clean up pretty quick but still leave a haze. The 120 setting is the worst. It doesn't even begin to clean things up until my EGT's are near 1400. Keep in mind though that my nozzles are sized and chip is tuned for a larger turbo. With proper sized nozzles and tuning, I'm sure a van turbo would do a pretty good job of controlling B codes.

BTW, that video was with the chip in the 120 setting, rolling on in OD. You can see it clean up the smoke right at the end of the first run, just before I turned the camera around. I had to let out because EGT's were getting up there.

Isn't the "safe" limit for EGTs supposed to be 1250 degrees? what allows you to run higher than that?

sorry if it's a newb question

short burst over 1250* is ok...pistons melt at 1250* when you do short burst like that..the piston its self is not 1250*.. but it wouldnt take much longer to get there...
