getting an 08 f150

well ive been pimpin an 86 f150 for awhile now, and never been able to afford a new truck, but finally ive got a good job, ford finally accepted my credit app. just working on payments and down payments

2008 f150 XL 4.6L auto, 6950 tow package, 3.73 limited slip, reg cab, 8ft bed, pictures coming soon

nothing fancy, i dont need that, but i got something now that is reliable and dont have to worry about it

is there anything that i should look out for, far as any recalls , or problems some who have had??

my 06 is rock solid after 2 years, and the newer models got some PCM changes and slightly different leaf packs.

you are good to go. the 08's have pretty much been picked over when it comes to issues. 04/05 models had lots of initial problems.

and since you've got the 4.6, you don't have to worry about sticking spark plugs

now get some pics up for us and are you 4x4 or 4x2. btw, good job getting those 3.73 gears. they'll really help since you got the smaller V-8...and are you aware of the leveling kits for these trucks?

Congrats on the new truck. Just curious why you didn't wait for the 09's to come out?

they level the front of the truck 1.5" to 2.5"...basically ditches that downward racing look

Auto_Springs_Website

Auto_Springs_2.5"_Leveling_Kit_on_eBay

they sell for $80 with free shipping. takes 1-2 hours to install in your driveway and then get an alignment.

this will allow you to fit 35x12.5 tires on your stock rims

Yeah, congrats. My brother got an 07', and it is a great truck. At first I didn't think the power was too good, but it's got 13K miles on it now and it is much improved.

I like it. I have always been a fan of the blue.

We got three same exact trucks just in white. I think you will really like it.

Nice truck the blue color is great. I like the exhaust sound of the 4.6 I have had a 5.0, 4.2 V6, 5.4 in my last F250 and all were very quite compared to the 4.6 it sounds like it is very throaty. Have you noticed a Mustang GT type of rumble? No need for a new exhaust system for me.
