Factory 2 barrel?
Just picked up a 1978 Edmunds truck price guide. Says the Ford 300 I6 came with a two barrel carb. I don't believe it. My '77 had a one barrel as did my '84. This must be a mistake, but if not, I wonder what the hp and torque were compared to the one barrel.

The listings were all light trucks and vans. I don't think they even went as high as F250. I'll take another look and post tomorrow if I find out anything else. But it looks like a mistake to me as it was listed as the standard (not optional) equipment. If there had been a factory 2 barrel, surely we would have heard about folks getting ahold of the manifold for hopping up their 300s.

Hmm, Dad swears his 78 had a 2bbl, I don't remember though, and, the truck is long gone, I might be able to find the motor out of it though, Dad sold it to a friend of his, and they swapped a 351W into it, the old 300 might still be lying around.....
