We have been hitting the low -20's here the last couple nights. Compared to what I am used to that's pretty balmy.

Do alot of people stay away from the ski hill when it gets that cold?

Yep it does. Only been here for 3 winters and the coldest has been about -26 or so. Still pretty warm compared to the -40 + I went through in Williams Lake, and Hinton was the same with wind.

Nobody need's those kind of temp.I lived in Edmonton for three years, the coldest i seen there was about -45 with no wind.We moved from the N shore on the Shuswap new year's day 2002,it was +4/5,got to Edmonton that night. We stepped out of the vehicles, the first thing my wife said to me was,"Where the hell did you take me!?"It was -32.Sorry honey.

I remember going to Edmonton from Hinton in the winter. Many times almost stopped on the highway after a big truck passed me. I am talking major white out. Edmonton suked when it was cold cause it always seemed to be windy.

I can't remember how windy Kamloops is. I used to get there quite often when I lived in Williams Lake. Not so much now.

I remember one time I worked building a cattle shed and it was minus 55 or something crazy like that with the wind, that was cold!

Well my adjuster showed up today with my tools. As far as I'm concerned they look pretty good. So she says I can replace them and she will sell them or I can take an allowance for apperance. When she told me how much I took it and kept my tools.
Then she cut me a check right on my kitchen table for $1000.00

Yes $1000 for appearance. To be honest some of the tools looked better than they did before the fire. I don't think any of them got too much heat.
