Thumbs up Have You Quit Smoking Yet! PART 1

Well I've been smoke free for 2 year come May 21st. I tryed to quit several times before I acually did it and the only thing I can offer is this.... You really have to want to if you are half hearted about it then it will be the hardest thing you ever do. I smoked for 25 years and quit cold turkey with no aids because I knew it was time. Anyone one can do it after 2 weeks the addiction is gone and its all habit after that. You all can do it if you want it.

Well I guess some people value health and life more than others.

Aw, C'mon George. Where's your sense of humor. I haven't smoked anything since Dec. of 2006. I know thats not real long, but I went cold turkey so I'm pretty proud of it.

Next time I make a lame joke, you better laugh or I'll never give you any again.

The reply was not meant for you Tony. Just trying to help a buddy make the commitment to quit now and not when its too late.

I have never smoked a single thing in my life. No jokes now!!!! But my mother smoked since she was a teenager. She finally quit after I graduated college and has not smoked since, 10-12 years. I know if she can do it that any one can. She really enjoyed it but unfortunately did not think about the consequence to her family. I think with all the other health problems she has gone through she might not have recovered as well if she still smoked. Good luck to all that are trying. I think it will be well worth it if you quit.

Talking I will do my best!!!

My wife and I have an appointment on Thursday with our doctor to go over the different options to help us stop smoking. There is allot of different things out there now that help with the everyday urges. I want to quit but I know I can't do it without some kind of help.I enjoy smoking too too much, so I know this will be one of the hardest things I will ever do. Everyone wish me luck. And yes George I know you will be on me every day to make sure I make it!!!!

Thanks guys ,

Barry I have incentive for you. Everytime you smoke that will be one day you have to watch my son. He will wear you out and the only thing will think about is sleeping.

Good Luck Barry to you both, You can do it know you can. If I can do it and stay smoke free after the year I've had so far anyone can do it.
