Rubber Floor Mat / padding ?
I have decided to use a Full rubber floor covering in my 77 F150 restoration project, since I actually plan to use it when its done as a Truck. It will clean up easy when it gets dirty and I won't get all stressed out when I get in with mud on my boots. The rubber mat came with a 3/8" jute padding underlayment and I have installed a 3/8" foil faced heat/sound dampner on the floor already. Here's my question, will it be OK to install the jute padding on top of the other material? I'm thinking it will be too thick (3/4") where it meets the door sills, but if it's not I would like the additional padding. Anyone done this before?
